Emirates satellite manufactured in the UAE


Dubai, UAE - Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates, has transported KhalifaSat- the first satellite developed and built by Emirati engineers in the UAE at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC). As the first step in its journey to space, KhalifaSat was flown from Dubai to Incheon International Airport in South Korea on an Emirates SkyCargo Boeing 777 freighter aircraft that was specially chartered for the occasion. Emirates SkyCargo also unveiled a special branded truck to mark the event.

In Time for Valentine’s Day:


LOS ANGELES — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers and import specialists assigned to the Los Angeles/Long Beach seaport complex have seized 475,056 bottles of imported perfume bearing counterfeit trademarks in the recent months leading up to Valentine’s Day. If genuine, the seized perfumes had an estimated manufacturer’s suggested retail price of more than $31 million.
Since the beginning of Fiscal Year 2018, Oct. 1, 2017, to Jan. 31, 2018, CBP officials have intercepted 11 shipments containing counterfeit and confusingly similar fragrances in violation of the registered trademarks belonging to 34 top name brands.

CEO’s are optimistic amid terrorism...



GLOBAL chief executives are optimistic about the  future – at least in the short-term – despite the threats to worldwide economic growth from terrorism, geopolitical uncertainty and cyber hackers, reveals Price water house Coopers (PwC) at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
Fifty-seven per cent of business leaders who took part in PwC’s 21st survey of almost 1,300 CEOs revealed they believe global economic growth will improve in the next 12 months. It’s almost twice the level of last year (29 per cent ) and the largest increase since PwC began asking about global growth in 2012.
